Pending free agents? Who u want!!!

Is there a free agent that really sticks out in your mind? I just read in the paper, there is a guy out their that was declined by his team he’s not a well known guy for his bat/defense but he would make a great addition to the Cubs in my opinion. The player is Craig Counsell, just think another infielder and plus he can play anywhere. I say they try and trade cedeno, and a arm and try and sign counsell, he is a real tough out. When he was in brew city(milwaukee)he was a cubs killer with the bat. He is so patient with the stick it has always been impressive. Also, we need to keep Dempster and Wood !! any opinions let me know what u think .  GO CUBS

online baseball rumors?

As i always do, i check a favorite web site
i found for baseball rumors.the site is
http://www.elisbaseballrumors.com they are reporting the Mets may be
willing to part ways with Beltran would there be any intrest
here? I personally would say “YES” because of the possible of
a switch hitting CF and and have Reed Johnson on the bench as
a backup to all the outfield positions in case of injury. They
are also saying something about the Cubs looking to trade D.
Lee to some west coast teams? what do you guys think about
that? I heard he had a no trade clause in his
contract.

I know all true Cubs fans are  upset, but come on we love our Cubs . No matter what/ or how they do we still believe next year will be our year. I personally believe that this years team had too much pressure on them to succeed. Going to the park/ on the road and having to hear about the 100 year thing everyday that  had to be rough trying to live up to those expectations everyday. Sure i know they get paid big money top play a little boys game, but pressure is pressure. All i hope is for the off season, is for the Cubs to acquire a true centerfielder, and a true leadoff hiter and have our pitchers go to spring training and be quiet on the world series talk. Just play the game and let the chips fall where they may.
